    What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture involves the placing of very fine needles into specific body points where energy is concentrated and linked to the organs in the body. This stimulates the energy within the body to restore balance and boost healing allowing the body to heal itself.
The needles stimulate the neurological, hormonal, and immune systems, inducing a biological, energetic response intended to restore health and relieve pain.

Acupuncture is a safe form of treatment when performed by a registered practitioner who has a good knowledge of human anatomy. As a member of the Chinese Medical Institute & Register www.cmir.org.uk , I am bound by a strict code of clinical practice, which includes the use of sterile single-use disposable needles.

People receiving acupuncture frequently report benefits well beyond their original complaint, often feeling better in themselves and more resourceful in facing the world and the challenges of work, family and relationships.
